Victor Cornell Brown,DVM
Owner/Veterinarian Dr. Brown incorporated the BVC in May of 1986. Prior to starting his own practice, he was employed by the Collier County Humane Society (Humane Animal Clinic). Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, he graduated from William Raines High School where he earned the Harvard Book Award and was a finalist in the National Junior Scientist and Humanities Symposium. He earned his BS degree in Biology from Florida State University and in 1983 was granted his DVM degree from the University of Florida. He has attained additional certifications in Animal Communications, Esoteric and Reconnective Healing modalities, and Animal Hospice Care. Dr. Brown and Tonya share the same pets. He enjoys listening to Jazz, Old-School, and R & B music. In his spare time he is an avid marine aquarist, gardener, and a fanatical sports enthusiast. His favorite getaway is the Suwannee River Rendezvous. His favorite saying is: “oh well…”
Owner/Manager Tonya joined the BVC in 2003 and has managed the clinic since 2004. She is a SWFL native who grew up in Fort Myers. She graduated from Cypress Lake High School and later earned her AA degree at Edison Community College and her BA degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. She has a dog named Moke (Swahili for “little one”), two cats named Garfield and Sphinx, an African Gray named Baby, a rabbit named Daisy, and a 92 gallon salt water aquarium. In her spare time, Tonya loves to read, travel and belly dance. She enjoys Classical, R & B, and Easy Listening music. Her favorite getaway is The Suwannee River Rendezvous and her favorite saying is: “It is What it is.”
Kennel Supervisor/Receptionist Kathy joined the BVC as a Kennel Technician in January of 2007. Prior to joining our team, Kathy was one of Dr. Brown’s first client’s at the Humane Animal Clinic. She was born in Buffalo, New York, but moved to Naples as a little girl. Kathy graduated from Barron Collier High School. Kathy aspires to study animal communications and to help owners reunite with their lost pets. Kathy currently has 2 dogs, Toby and Bailey; 2 rabbits named Burton and Bugs; a clowder of cats, and a 75 gallon fresh water aquarium. She enjoys listening to Oldies and Country music. Her favorite getaway is in the mountains and in her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs. Kathy’s favorite saying is: “be careful what you wish for.”
Robert (Bob) S.
Kennel Technician Bob joined the BVC February 2015 as P/T Kennel Technician. He has a Master of Divinity degree and two years of doctoral studies. Bob enjoys playing with his grand children in Naples and face-timing his grand children in Minnesota. He enjoys trying new recipes that are diabetic friendly, crossword puzzles, and reading mysteries. Before moving to Florida, he enjoyed his humming bird/ butterfly garden. Bob owns a 12 year-old cat named Brighton.
Veterinary Technician Godfrey joined our team December 2014 as F/T Veterinary Technician. He attended Ashworth College and earned his certification as a Veterinary Assistant. Godfrey enjoys playing baskeball, mixed martial arts, and being a dad. He owns two cats named Stitch and Poppie, and one dog named Pookie.
Receptionist Stephanie joined our team in December of 2015. She is currently attending Heritage Institute in Fort Myers, FL to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has 2 horses and 3 dogs and enjoys jumping her horses, riding bikes, and relaxing on the beach.
Victoria has been a vet tech since 2005 . She's wanted to work for Dr. Brown since being a little kid and visiting the office with her parents, grandmother and pets. She was always passionate about working with animals, from horses to rabbits. She was raised in Naples, since a year old. Her life revolves around her son and work. In her spare time she enjoys being in the woods or around the ocean. Her favorite sayings are: "Life is a journey. Follow your heart ♡".
